Moreton Bay Technology (MBT) was established in Sydney in the year 1990 by founder, Alec To.

His goal was to develop a software solution to manage the inventory, procurement and cost control activities of businesses in the hospitality sector.

Alec and his team soon developed a system to meet this demand: the ‘Check’ solution.

Twenty-five years of steady evolution has resulted in an unparalleled solution based on MBT’s comprehensive understanding of the specific needs of hospitality.

The system was an immediate success and Alec further built his team to include additional, specialized programmers, IT experts and hospitality professionals who were dedicated to evolving this early version.

Marrying expertise with sound industry knowledge and insight, they soon expanded Check’s unique capabilities.

Working in conjunction with clients to extend functionality, and staying in alignment with cutting edge technology, MBT has continued to remain at the forefront of development.

This qualified position has allowed MBT to leverage its first-hand expertise into successive generations of Check product development.

Today, MBT maintains it position as a global leader in hospitality software; a steady success story within an industry of continual upheaval.

Founder Alec To and his select core of senior developers are currently renowned as international authorities on hospitality software solutions and continue to grow Check into new, unexplored territories.
